Hair
A couple of weeks ago I realized that my hair was getting pretty long. After giving birth I started to shred a lot.. I'm talking handfulds here. So at my first post-birth hairdressing appointment I wanted it short (shoulder lenght short) and blond (hadn't dyed it for a couple of years). But my trusted hairdresser talked me out of the short part (and a bit out of the blond - we went for some blond highlights instead).
I almost always wear my hair up in a ponytail (boring I know, but I hate hair in my face) but a couple of weeks ago I decided to wear it down more often. After styling it I realizes that it was getting really long - I hadn't cut it since the aforementioned hairdressing session, a month or so after having Adam.
I have decided that I like my hair long. But 11 months of growth leaves it's marks. So I needed a trim.
My sister had told me that she had trimmed her own hair (if you know my sister, this should come as a major chock to you - she is almost crumbled in tears when getting her beautiful thick blond her cut) She had done it using a self-trimming method she had found of the internet.
So today I decided to do the same. I have trimmed my hair. It was amazingly easy, and I'm pretty content with the result. My hairs is a bit wavy (and I still often wear it in a ponytail) so I figure you wouldn't notice the imperfections.
This is the method I used (I went for the medium u-shape)
Apart from desperately needing to be washed, I think it looks great and a bit more healthy.
