Well, hello there.
I guess, I just needed a break from blogging during this summer. There has been plenty to blog about, but I have been in a weird mood. A non-blogging mood. Not a bad mood, just a lazy summer mood. But I can feel a change. My days are more organized and my desire to reach out to the outside world is coming back. I have been a horrible friend as well, hardly contacting anyone beside the people who almost automatically came past my way. Strange. I'm sorry friends. I really do care.
Now I'm back, so I feel I need to warn you. There will be loads of catching up and old pictures.. and let's face it Adam-picture-spam. The kid has grown, I tell you. The past month has been a crazy "learning new things"-/ "first time ever" -/ "growing-up" - month.
The best news is that Michael has a new job (again) He's been working for 1½ week now, and he likes his new job (still carpentry) and he has an experienced companion who teaches him lots of new skills. He's a bit tired though (very understandable, after 7 months of unemployment) but we try to great him with a happy kiss and a hug when he comes home in the late afternoon.
Did you notice I said try? I really do try, but I have been so spoiled all this time. Imagine, two adults per kid... does it get better than that? We have taken drives, been on outings, shared diaper changes, meal time, clean-up time and all that comes with running a household. Now I'm alone from 6.30 am to 4.30(5ish)pm with a boy who's able to climb anywhere (yes, he can get up the couch and from there the window sill is just a step away), who doesn't understand that using the floor lamps as dancing poles is not a good idea, and who prefers eating his porridge with his fingers.
When M comes home, I am ready for a break. Even a 3 minute bathroom break is an amazing enjoyments - so sad.
I know I'm spoiled and I'm sure that it just takes a bit getting used to.
