I've glued the cool owl gift wrapping paper on the back of his little bookcase. It's not my best DIY project to date. I have a tendency to be a bit sloppy and impatient. I put in the shelves before the paper/glue was dry, and off course I scraped off bits of the wet paper - bu-huuu. Working with gift wrapping paper as wall paper isn't always easy, because the paper is quite thin and wrinkles when getting wet. But I'm still happy with the look, and as long as I don't look to closely it's acceptable.
The monster mobile is now hanging over the changing table, it's a desperate try to get the little worm to lie still... on his back, when changing him (it's not working so far, but I still have hope)
I've made a flag garland (well, help me here.. what is this really called in English?)
I love those, and I've been wanting to make one for ever. I used the fabric I got at the blogger convention, it's absolutely perfect for the look I wanted. As I said, I have been wanting to make one forever, but was a bit scared off, after reading my friend Lene's blog. She wrote that it included a lot of ironing, and just like her I HATE ironing. So I've been putting of the project until I found an almost iron-free process. I did! All I had to iron was the folding crease, and that was it. I cut the flags with my zigzag scissors, and then I just sew along the edges, easy-peasy.
The ghost from IKEA, is a night light, and it has served me well already, as a late night reading or feeding light. It's wonderful with a dim light in the room that doesn't make us all (especially baby) believe that is broad daylight.
