Yesterday we left this little cutie pie with his grandparents as Michael and I headed for Germany.
(Adam was sleeping in yesterday - I guess the change from daylight saving time messed his inner schedule up a bit)
I almost can't believe we had an entire day without our little angel, but he would have hated being strapped in his car seat all day long, and we could have some time alone.
We didn't have a particular reason for going, I think we just needed a little date.. why not go to Germany then? It's only 2-3 hours away from where we live.
What we saw most of was this:
Hello everybody:
Rawww - hot driver!
The weather was beautiful yesterday. Bright and sunny (and windy and cold) it really was a perfect day. I sensed spring in the air, as we passed by fields with a bit of green on them. I really enjoy the change in seasons. I love all the seasons, but somehow my favorite is always the "new season"; the promise of spring, the warmth of summer, the cooling down at autumn, and the darkness of winter.
We bought too much chocolate, fizzy drinks and other weird things you have to buy when shopping in a different country. I tried to speak German (Michael was very impressed when I ordered a strawberry milkshake... "erdbeer - milkshake" - wow baby!). We played car games, talked, and laughed all the way. I just love spending time with the love of my life.
